👋 Hey there, I’m Deven!

I’m based in Atlanta, GA and have 10+ years experience in the software industry (mostly backend, but I’ve touched the whole stack in some capacity along the way). I started this blog in 2024, as an attempt to write more and share the learnings from my career thus far.

While I’m still interested in learning and writing more about managing your career as a Software Engineer, in 2026 I’m trying something different with the introduction of ✨ Explorations ✨ . Explorations are multi-part deep dives into technical concepts I’m currently learning and exploring outside of my dayjob.

I’m really excited to try out this new format as a way to both cement my own self-paced learning, and to shine a light for others on technical concepts that lack great guides today. I’ll be kicking off my first Exploration, Build a 3D Slicer From Scratch, in Q2 of 2026.
